Toni M. Murphy, DO
BOARD CERTIFIED ENDOCRINOLOGY AND METABOLISM, INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Murphy has been practicing at Buffalo Endocrinology since its inception in 2002. Prior to this she was working in a multi-specialty group from 1996-2002.  She practices at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital as a consultant, has been the Division Chief of Endocrinology there since 2006 and is currently on the Board of Directors of Catholic Medical Partners.  Dr. Murphy has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1994 and Board Certified in Endocrinology since 1995. She was inducted as Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internist (FACOI) in 2001 and inducted as Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE) in 2013.

Dr. Murphy earned her medical degree in 1989 from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in OId Westbury, NY.   She completed a rotating internship and her Internal Medicine Residency at the Delaware Valley Medical Center, in Langhorne PA in 1992.  She went on to study at the Nassau County Medial center where she earned a Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases in 1995.  Dr. Murphy is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Endocrinology and the American Diabetes Association.

  • Patricia joined our practice in 2004 having earned her degree at D'Youville College. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner, a Certified Diabetes Educator and a Certified Insulin Pump Trainer.

 
DIABETES CARE COORDINATORS

Our Diabetes Care Coordinators are licensed nurses working under the supervision of Dr. Murphy to provide chronic disease management services.  By providing education, support and encouragement, it is our hope to help increase our patient’s quality of life and improve diabetic control in order to prevent future complications, such as heart disease, kidney disease and stroke.  Our open line of communication allows for monitoring and educating of blood sugar levels, depression, diet and exercise; insurance issues and the importance of regular retinal exams and annual foot exams.
